Miraloma Park is a tranquil, residential neighborhood centrally located just southwest of Twin peaks on the slopes of Mt Davidson and offers a uniquely suburban feel within city limits. Developed primarily between the 1920s and 1950s by the Meyer Brothers, the neighborhood was planned as a self-contained "city within a city" and was focused on home ownership from the start. Its Spanish name, meaning "View Hill," perfectly describes its elevated position, which affords residents breathtaking panoramic views of the city, the Bay, and the surrounding hills depending on what side of the hill you are on. In particular, the views from 634 Rockdale take in views stretching east all the way to the East Bay hills and parts of downtown.
