111 Elm Street, built in 1925, has been beautifully updated and expanded, yet maintains many of the architectural details that add so much charm, from the wood floors to the arched entries, decorative molding, and glass door knobs, which reflect a time when artistic details were the mainstay of interiors for homes built in this era.
Perfectly situated for privacy, with a tree-lined alley bordering one side and an expansive yard on the other, the house feels like an oasis amidst the giant redwood and cedar trees. Step out onto the deck and take in the verdant, peaceful yard with sunlight shimmering through the trees. A beautiful patio is perfect for entertaining, and other seating areas throughout the yard for relaxing.
Designed for comfortable family living, the home opens to a living room with a fireplace that provides a cozy welcome. An archway leads to a separate dining room with French doors opening to the deck and rear patio. The stylish, updated kitchen has stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space. A great loft-style den/office space upstairs is a treetop escape within the home.
Situated at the back of the house, the primary bedroom suite provides a tranquil and secluded sanctuary, highlighted by a large picture window overlooking the magnificent cedar tree. Two additional, generously sized bedrooms are served by a lovely hall bathroom.
Fabulous location in the Willows neighborhood close to cafes where the community gathers, a grocery store, pottery studio, and more! The park is just 3 blocks away with tennis, baseball, a playground, and a dog park. Neighbors are always out walking and enjoying the tree-lined streets. Close to vibrant downtown Palo Alto, Stanford, and excellent Menlo Park Schools.
“We hosted many family parties and gatherings in the yard, and people always commented on how serene it was and how much they enjoyed just sitting and enjoying a spring, fall, or summer day there.
One of our favorite things about the home is looking out the windows at the oak, cedar, and redwood trees surrounding the house. Enjoyed each night seeing the pink, red, and golden colors of the sunset making their way through the trees.
Being in the Willows, we enjoyed gathering with neighborhood friends, and it was so easy for our kids' friends to just pop over and then head to the park, the store, and more!
We so enjoyed living here and raising our children in this warm and welcoming neighborhood. We made lifelong friends and feel so lucky to be close to so many neighborhood amenities. It was so nice to be able to walk to restaurants, cafes, the store, and more, and to do an easy bike ride to the Stanford campus.
The Willows, with its meandering streets and bucolic alleyways, provides an ideal neighborhood for kids and kids at heart to wander and explore.”

about this
Neighborhood
∎
Menlo Park stands as the birthplace of technological innovation, a neighborhood where groundbreaking companies first took root and reshaped the global technological landscape. This is the hallowed ground where Facebook (now Meta) established its headquarters, transforming a modest suburban location into the epicenter of social media revolution. Similarly, Google's early days were nurtured in this remarkable community, with the company's initial innovations emerging from the collaborative, forward-thinking environment that defines Menlo Park.
The neighborhood is distinguished by its extraordinary network of open spaces, including the Baylands Nature Preserve, which offers residents an unparalleled interface between urban living and protected natural environments. Sand Hill Road has become legendary in the tech world, representing the venture capital corridor that has funded countless technological breakthroughs. From the headquarters of pioneering tech firms to the research facilities that continue to drive global innovation, Menlo Park represents a living testament to Silicon Valley's most transformative spirit.
Community infrastructure anchors this innovative landscape, with the Menlo Park Library and Belle Haven Community Center providing essential gathering spaces that balance technological ambition with community-centered living. Stanford University's proximity infuses the neighborhood with an intellectual energy, creating a residential environment that is simultaneously scholarly and forward-thinking. What truly defines Menlo Park is its unique ability to nurture world-changing ideas while maintaining a deeply connected, human-centered community—a place where innovation is not just a concept, but a way of life.
