Nancy Reichert & Jack Burley Present
Sunny Annex Home with Views!
$729,000
Property Details
Updated systems throughout are substantial, giving the next owner great peace of mind. Newer roof and gutters, newer forced air heating and economical on-demand water heater, quality seismic retrofitting and sub-area sump pump, and the sewer lateral has been replaced. A small building in the rear has great storage and opens to a long driveway accessible from Shasta Ave. The large above ground basement area is perfect for a workshop or perhaps future development?
This is a truly convenient Annex location, with a charming neighborhood park just up the street, and nearby excellent shops, restaurants and services. Check the current school assignment to see if El Cerrito schools are available. There is excellent and easy access to Berkeley and Oakland, plus Marin county, or take the Richmond ferry to enjoy a day in the City.

Neighborhood
"The Annex" is a small area of Northwest Richmond which borders El Cerrito and is just one mile from Albany. Traditional 1940's era homes dominate the neighborhood, with tree lined streets, bay views, local parks and wonderful access to shops and transportation. The Annex is truly a 'hidden gem' with well established diverse restaurants and shops which are true local favorites! Several farmers markets are nearby as well as the popular El Cerrito Natural Grocery which hosts community events and live music in addition to its wonderful prepared food offerings and organic groceries. The Annex also sits in-between two BART stations, and there is easy access to Point Isabel and Point Richmond for walks on the Bay Trail which continues all the way to Emeryville. The bigger shops of El Cerrito and Albany are just down San Pablo Ave., with Marin county just over the Richmond Bridge.
Other highlights in the city of Richmond include programs where residents can participate in a composting program that collects food scraps in specially marked street-side containers and it offers gardeners free compost for their backyard gardens. Richmond recycles its old buildings, too; the historic Ford assembly plant near the port of Richmond was converted into the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historic Park, operated by the National Park Service. Downtown is also experiencing revitalization, especially along Macdonald Avenue, the main commercial district that runs from 8th to 16th streets. The Richmond Main Street Initiative brings arts, music, dance, and theater to the area, transforming it into a pedestrian-friendly urban village. Welcome to "The City of Pride and Purpose"!

your trusted advocate
I’m an upbeat and enthusiastic advocate for each of my many long term and repeat Clients. Your particular real estate challenge is what fuels me, and after decades of hands-on experience, I know how to get the job done. I’ve been told I’ve got intelligence and wit - so I will make sure you are informed and protected throughout your important transaction, striving to make the end-result a joyful occasion.
I’ve lived and raised my family in the East Bay since 1985, and have been involved in a multitude of local community activities -- schools, sports, charities and the arts. I love a good design or remodel project, and bring my knowledge to the table when my Clients evaluate properties. I pride myself on knowing our local market, from all sides, really well.
My background has set me up for success -- I attended UCLA and UC DAVIS, graduating with a degree in Economics. My many long-term friends have exposed me to (their) ART, WINE, MUSIC, TRAVEL, SCIENCE, and DESIGN...and my broad real estate clientele have done the same. I can’t believe how lucky I am to continue to make these wonderful connections who truly fuel my work.
Giving is important to me. I volunteer or donate to organizations related to Public Schools, housing and local food programs, local and overseas groups seeking to end human trafficking, climate action groups, Wounded Warrior Project and Medicins sans Frontiers.
During my downtime, I support as many varied, live, local performances as possible, and try to keep my own hand in performing too -- singing anything with a great groove! I love remodeling homes, practicing French, and listening to Korean hip hop. (Really). I’m also a movie nut, frequent traveller, and a super-fan of the English Premier League.
All these elements have made me a successful and award-winning Realtor® in the Berkeley - Oakland area since 1989. Please take a look at how I work and what others have said. I hope we can work together -- great good things will come from it!
