Why we love this home!
Welcome to 4330 Mountain Boulevard, a sleek split-level mid-century home nestled in a private setting. Built in 1952, this split-level beauty offers a great combination of private and public spaces. The property is a great example of a split-level home: two living spaces separated by a half flight of stairs. The main level offers a kitchen, dining area, family room, half bath, laundry area, plus access to the rear garden and interior access to the garage below. The upper level offers two generous bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a large storage closet. Hardwood floors run throughout the house, and several large windows and French doors let in the sunshine! The garage has an EV charger, and all the kitchen appliances and cabinetry are new. Outdoor spaces include a private fenced patio adjacent to the front door and a rear garden patio perfect for dining al fresco!

The northern portion of Leona Heights began as a quarry and mining destination for sulfur and pyrite, commonly known as "fool's gold." Leona Heights began with small farms and parks. This picturesque location later transformed into resort hotels, and a railroad was built to connect it to other parts of Oakland. At one point, Leona Heights boasted the largest commercial laundry in Oakland, the"Contra Costa Laundry"., commonly called the "Farm Laundry." The laundry utilized the seemingly endless amount of spring water from Horseshoe Creek. The business was closed and moved to West Oakland in 1857. Residential development blossomed in the 40s and 50s. Leona Heights still attracts people who want to spend time in nature. Fortunately, Leona Canyon has become a regional park and regional preserve.
